Tamira Kalmbach

Tamira Kalmbach (she/none // 1996, Heilbronn) is a performer, director, and theatre educator.
After working as an assistant director at the Regensburg Municipal Theatre, she went on to realize her own projects, including All das Schöne, which was invited to festivals such as the assistant directors’ festival “Summer Up 9.”

Since 2022, she has been studying for a Master’s degree in Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen. Her production Mia San Mia, developed there, has been presented at venues including the Münchner Kammerspiele and was shortlisted for the 2025 Körber Studio Junge Regie.

Most recently, she directed the world premiere of herzkopfüber at the Stadttheater Giessen. Her next work, La Bohème – a lip-sync opera, will premiere at Theaterhaus Jena.

She is part of the core team of the BiPoC network and is involved in voluntary work in cultural policy contexts.
