Lukas Pergande

Since 2011, Lukas Pergande has been working as an actor and musician in various independent theater ensembles (Theaterlabor Bielefeld, Freiraum Ensemble Köln, Feedback Kollektiv…). In 2012, he presented his first directorial work, Wenn alle schlafen, in collaboration with Theaterlabor Bielefeld. Since then, various projects and productions have taken him both domestically and abroad, including Serbia, Poland, Scotland, and Ukraine. In 2018, together with Josef Bäcker, he developed the production Hundstage, which became the starting point for their ongoing collaboration. From 2018 onward, he worked as an assistant director at Staatstheater Braunschweig and, starting with the 2020/21 season, was responsible—together with Christoph Diem—for programming the venue Aquarium. Since the 2024/25 season, he has been part of the leadership team at Theaterhaus Jena as Artistic Director.
