Jonathan Perleth
Jonathan Perleth grew up by the sea and left home at 18. Now he misses the North. He studied teaching for several years in Leipzig, and even though the teaching program ultimately wasn’t what his heart was truly passionate about, those years were formative and important. Just in time before his state exams, he was accepted into the Bern School of Acting. Since then, he has been guided by questions such as what theater can be beyond the traditional boundaries of stage and audience, and how theater can genuinely make a societal impact.
Jonathan made his on-screen debut in Polizeiruf Rostock. In recent years, he lived in Berlin, performed in Cologne, worked in a café, recorded an audiobook, and appeared in various film and television productions. He always said he would never apply for a permanent position—except, of course, if Jena was looking. And here we are!
