Daniele Szeredy
Daniele Szeredy (he/him; born 1993) is a Hungarian-Italian director, playwright, and dramaturg. His play Lerchelein received the Munich Promotional Prize for German-Language Drama in 2018. At Baggård Teatret in Svendborg (Denmark), he co-wrote the text for Dannebrog with Petra-Leonie Pichler, as well as the trilingual audio walk Sundets Stilhed, both premiered in 2019. In 2021, he was invited to Bologna (Italy) by the Festival 20 30 with the project Nati Dopo. At Staatstheater Braunschweig, his play Der Weg Der Arbeitenden Klasse ins Paradies premiered in January 2023, and he led the research project Den Aufstand proben / Handbuch einer Hausbesetzung (performances in June 2024), exploring the history of house occupations in Braunschweig.
Since the 2024/25 season, he has been part of the artistic leadership at Theaterhaus Jena, alongside Azeret Koua, Céline Karow, Josef Bäcker, and Lukas Pergande. There, he works as a dramaturg with a focus on international networking and also directs productions.
