StadtLab x Theaterhaus Jena

Starting April 25, 2026, the Theaterhaus, together with StadtLab, invites visitors to the theater forecourt and Engelplatz. Every Saturday until early June, the theater forecourt and Engelplatz will be filled with readings, pop-ups, culinary offerings, sports activities, and other events, inviting people to relax and spend time in the open-air StadtLab. Admission is free. Anyone who would like to become part of the open-air StadtLab or contribute their own idea can now get in touch with the StadtLab Jena team.

Program May 9th 2026

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Open-air theatre workshop with Josef Bäcker: low-threshold, no previous experience required, open to everyone aged 10 and up.
Lost Sock Day: bring your single socks to find new matches or help create a large communal sock garland.

Throughout the day, food and refreshments will be provided by Ontschä and SimSim, and there will also be opportunities to play table tennis, pétanque, and Kubb (Viking chess).
