Animal Farm

after George Orwell

Who decides what is fair? Who gets to speak? Who sets the rules? And what happens when some suddenly have more of a say than others?

teenpark – the youth ensemble of Theaterhaus Jena – is taking George Orwell’s Animal Farm apart this year and turning it into an original piece of theatre. Led by Kerstin Lenhart and her team, the production explores revolution, power, and manipulation – and asks how we ourselves think about democracy and justice. Because perhaps the farm isn’t as far away as we think.
