Die Hundekot-Attacke
A performance about darkness, beauty, and forgiveness, based on a true story.
In the Thuringian province, a collective of actors searches for a theme for a performance that will attract as much national attention as possible. Since that is already a challenge, they decide to base it on a “dog poop attack” by a choreographer on a critic: a true event that made headlines for several weeks and was perceived as an attack on press freedom and democratic culture. During rehearsals, they fear becoming personae non gratae themselves and get into a conflict that threatens to tear the collective apart.
The production was invited to the 61st Theatertreffen of the Berliner Festspiele and the 41st Heidelberger Stückemarkt.
The author collective of “The Dog Poop Attack” was awarded the 3sat Theatre Prize 2024, and Nikita Buldyrski received the Alfred Kerr Actor’s Prize.
