Die Entführung der Amygdala

It begins with a bang. Her head bounces off the car hood, and the patriarchy tears out of her skull. Enter Amygdala: she forgets that she is a mother, forgets her children, her husband, the loan, the glass ceiling she can no longer break after her parental leave, the cost of living that exceeds her income, her parents in need of care, the struggle—she leaves it all behind, all at once. But can one really do that—can one really?

In “THE ABDUCTION OF THE AMYGDALA”, a woman commits a taboo: after an accident and apparent amnesia, she chooses a new identity. Beyond her role as mother and wife, she searches for a new place. She embarks on a journey, perhaps to another universe.
