"Where to?" asked the bear.
"Just across to the other side, please," said the boy, waving vaguely over the water.
"All right," said the bear and set the boat in motion.

But that is easier said than done. How can you find your way with a map that consists only of blue sea? And how can you stay on course when obstacles keep appearing in your path—like downpours, boredom, anomalies in the current, empty lunchboxes, and all the adventures the sea has in store?

BEAR IN THE BOAT is a touching, absurd story about growing up, the development of a friendship, and a parable about life.

As the bear knows: "Almost dying is nothing to complain about. Actually dying, that would be really annoying."
