Our house
The our house-partizipation section of Theaterhaus Jena communicates and produces art with and for all people of all ages, because theatre is a place to grasp, comprehend, bundle, dissect, exaggerate, shatter and rethink one's own and other people's lives - in a community, in the moment, in exchange and discourse.

Offers for school classes and kindergarten groups // 3-12 years
For the new children's play, we are once again looking for a group of children who would like to experience the production process from the reading rehearsal to the premiere. The group will receive an introduction from the dramaturge in advance and can attend two rehearsals up close. This gives them the opportunity to talk to the directing team and the actors and ask questions. Finally, the group will be able to see the finished play on stage during a theatre visit.
At regular intervals, we will send our current performance schedule and an overview of our theatre education offerings to your institution by post.
If you would like to receive the newsletter by e-mail, please send us an e-mail or use our contact form.
Never been to the theatre before? No problem - we are happy to prepare children for their upcoming visit to the theatre. Of course, this also includes a short introduction to the play. On request, we can also put together dramaturgy folders containing background knowledge and information about the content, author and text.
After the theatre visit, there is also the opportunity to talk about what you have seen. For children, for example, this can be a scenic reflection on the play or another creative form of evaluation with a theatre educator. (This offer is free of charge)
The “Playground” play platform is intended to give children's theatre groups the opportunity to play and exchange ideas with other children. We are happy to organize a small presentation with spectators from other children's facilities and schools. (This offer is free of charge)
Our Theaterhaus tour provides a playful and exciting insight into everyday theatre life. The children get to know various professions in the world of theatre in a playful way, explore venues and take a look behind the scenes.
(Costs: flat rate 30 euros/ max. 25 participants).
We provide professional support for plays with children's groups and school classes. This includes project development, planning, rehearsal visits, expert advice for the stage and much more.
(This service is free of charge)

Our training courses for teachers, educators and directors
We offer team training, workshops, methodological training and the opportunity to gain practical play experience. Contents and topics are discussed with the team in advance and can be included in detail in the concept.
