Curtains up for Season 25/26!

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, Theaterhaus Jena officially opened the new season with an Open House Day. It is the second season under the artistic direction of Céline Karow, Daniele Szeredy, Azeret Koua, Lukas Pergande, and Josef Bäcker, and it was inaugurated with the presentation of Manifesto 25–27. This manifesto forms the foundation for the coming two years and outlines the social and artistic guidelines of the theater’s work. The opening of Theaterhaus Jena to new formats, diverse audiences, and a wide range of contributors on and behind the stage—initiated already in the first season—will thus be consistently continued.

This spirit of openness is also reflected in the 2025/26 season program: ten premieres—including two productions from the Open Call—, two co-productions, six revivals from the previous season, and a rich offering of accompanying, framing, and experimental formats.
