BNG Theaterprijs for Hanneke van der Paardt

Our former ensemble colleague Hanneke van der Paardt has won the BNG Theatre Prize 2025 – one of the most important awards for emerging theatre talents in the Netherlands – with her impressive production “Bang” (German: “Fest”).

The production premiered on February 10, 2023, at Theaterhaus Jena.

The jury particularly praised how Hanneke, on an almost empty stage, weaves memories, observations, and emotions into a dense cycle of thought – giving us a unique insight into the mechanism of fear. Through direct contact with the audience, an intimate and moving experience emerges, leaving room for reflection and hope.
